Albert earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2017 and his Masters from Korea University in 2014. He has won several awards at the The Ohio State University including the Academic Excellence Award, the Director’s Award for Graduate Student Research, the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award, the Gold-Star Graduate Research Award, the Honorable Mention for Academic Excellence, and the Excellent Graduate Thesis Award. He has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and conference proceedings. His research interests include data science, machine learning, and data visualization. Albert was born in South Korea and raised in Ohio. This includes the distribution of random variables, conditional and unconditional probabilities, and Bayesian inference. Statistics and probability are fundamental to understanding and interpreting data. The course will also demonstrate the use of statistical analysis and methods to draw conclusions from various data sets. Possible Course Outcomes: Students will understand the basic concepts of probability and statistics. Students will be able to recognize the types of statistical analysis.
